Knit crochet and weavings that exist somewhere in between a realm of fine art, wearable craft, performance and sculpture.
The tactility of an object is as important as what it visually provides. All these wearable pieces have a unique relationship to the body -a use function. A receptive interaction between the cloth as a second skin to the body, along with a certain ambiguity that discloses itself through the numerous modes of interaction. While crafting this collection I mainly drew inspiration from a vein of Medieval armature; ornamental adornment which offers the wearer protection while acting as a second skin; either through a transformative engagement or as a cosmetic one.
